“The number of known giant dike swarms on Earth is small, only about 25.”
True fact. Scientists are still debating whether the decline of dike swarms is related to the graduated extinction of “circuit parties,” a parallel phenomenon among male homosexuals.
(I really want “dike swarm” to be a trending hashtag).
Also, since we’re on the topic of Earth sciences, can anyone explain to me what the hell a “montane ecosystem” is supposed to be and what the hell was wrong with plain ole’ “mountain ecosystem”? I guess when you’re studying phenomena that take millions of years to shift you gotta keep things interesting however you can.
